I would agree I am over thinking this stupid topic.
For what it is worth, I would prefer my hooks and calipers to be black and I almost changed them out when I bought my X. (a bit blingy). But I do think a set of Porsche Fuchs wheels in orange would be insanely cool. This is what started my color code hunt. I thought the L'Orange color would be better than the Porsche Signal Orange ie -- "Howard Johnsons spec track car"

L'Orange Fuchs wheels would look sick! 100% defo better than Signal Orange. The red tone of L'Orange would make those wheels pop more than Signal.
Thanks for your help guys, I’m now convinced it is L’Orange. I was in contact with Powerful UK, since I figured they know what they are doing, and they said the closest colour they could find was RAL3000.
Reading CincyRovers’ comparison of the Defender to the D5 SVX on the D5 forum and that the SVX had Rush Orange accents made me consider that the Defender X may have Rush Orange accents not L’Orange accents. Anybody have thoughts on this? I think Rush Orange looks closer to what the hooks are than L’Orange.

The coolest LR to have been cancelled. Was a shame, because I easily would've bought one. All of the neat off-road tech that was supposed to debut in this car ended up going on the Defender and Defender OCTA instead. I'm almost positive the X calipers and tow hooks are this Rush Orange color. They look nearly identical to each other.
I can’t help but feel that L’Orange isn’t the correct colour. Look at the tow hooks on our X
It seems as though the colour is more red than L’Orange, however I have had photos online that make the hooks look like L’Orange. Are they a different colour?
actually that is precisely the right color. I have "l'orange" towhooks on my 90S. It is more red than orange, always has been.
I saw an interview with Gerry McGovern (the designer of the bloody car) where he talked about the color -- he called it "L'Orange". It's technically an old Land Rover paint code, a "nod to heritage" and on the X the brake calipers (I think) and those tow hooks are painted the color.
This is the best I can come up with. They painted some Range Rover Sport SVR / SVO special paint cars the color too - in gloss --https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VgIkoDr-So And in the USA, there was at least one Range Rover Sport in the color for sale (here https://www.metrowestmotorcars.com/u...svr-c-1923.htm) , and the VIN of the car is this. SALWZ2RE7NA215279 --- based on the for sale listing, the car is supposedly SVO special paint "L'Orange". (but gloss) It sure looks the same, doesn't it?
Note on some misinformation out there. Someone mistakenly said it was the same color as the special edition 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged? It is not. That was Vesuvius Orange. Very metallic. Very different color. Just so you know.
I wanted to paint some spare Porsche Fuchs wheels the color and a few years ago was trying to find the paint code. That's what started me on this "hunt"
I stopped short of ever finding the paint code. But that Vin above to that SVO SVR RR Sport is the key to getting it. It would just be MATTE instead of GLOSS finish.
Now you have re-invigorated my interest. Perhaps I'll hunt it down.
Porsche Lava Orange looks like my tow hooks on my new Defender L663
