Same here. Thought it was disabled, but not. Haven't had time to try it again/triage but hope to over this weekend.

Justin in the video above is in a 2023 p400. Ccf auto start stop memory ccf setting will work on the p400, but only 2023 and up. It seems to work on all model year p300. I still need to try a 2023 V8, since the setting has not worked on those yet either. It is funny how on different model years , some settings work and some do not.

One other thing to try with the IID tool is if you activations are not showing up after you have let the car go to sleep, try rebooting the pivi screen by holding the volume button down for around 20 seconds with the ignition on but not driving. It may just show up afterwards.

Here is another good video showing that it can be done in the CCF files, using a cheap IDBII to Ethernet cable, from the guys at Powerful UK. But, it isn't clear what software he is using. Anyone know if there is an inexpensive PC based CCF editing software for JLR?

I could fix this annoying issue with a small custom PCB that "presses" the button every time the car starts, but a hardware hack seems like a lot of hassle if it can easily be changed in software (for a '23 P400).

So I pulled out the switch cluster that controls the auto start/stop to see how easy it would be to tap into the A button with a hardware solution. The cluster was easy enough to pull out, but getting down to the actual PCB and a place to tap into the switch was evil. There are micro ribbon connectors and the tap point would need to be a .5mm via on the board. It could be done, but solving with software is the better solution. Anyone in SoCal with GAP IID or a CCF editor? I'd prefer not to purchase a copy just for this one single use case. Thanks!

Probably best to buy a GAP tool, there's so much more you can do with it and it will be really useful if you keep the vehicle.

But if you have a pre 2023 the GAP tool won't work. I have a 2020 and changing as outlined, while the change is made, does nothing. Others here seem to have the same issue, weird that the model year has an influence of how the CCF is used.

Okay l didn't know that, sorry.

Another thing you can do is to use the user definable button on the steering wheel to turn off the stop/start.
So it's right there by your thumb.

Simon from Powerful works with us (GAP Diagnostic) as do other vendors here on the forum. That OBD-Ethernet cable is the only cheap thing on that setup.

If you read Sarek's post above, it won't work with any system: the GAP IIDTool, OEM LR Pathfinder or anything else.

CCF, the car configuration file, is actually like soft switches. What we do is provide an interface for the user to go in and flip the switch. If the switch hasn't been installed in the software by LR or their system supplier, you can't make a change.

As we are a small company and do not have access to all LR models for all markets, we work with users to provide feedback on what works and what doesn't. Sarek reports that on a P400, this CCF edit only seems to work on 2023 and later MYs. On P300, it seems to work on all MYs. He hasn't tried a V8 Defender and we have no other feedback either.
