I feel like this is just beating a dead horse, but wanted to post my experience. I took my 2021 P400 in for it's 20k service today. The Pivi had not updated since June 2023, and has been stuck on version 3.3.something since then. It connects to my wifi when I am home, and have taken it on several long drives to see if that initiates an update, but nothing. I asked them to see if they could push the updates through at the dealer. Their response was "I spoke with the technician and your vehicle can only be updated to version 3. If we try to push through the update for the more modern vehicles, it may result in damage to the telematics system requiring you to get a new one." No idea if this is true, but something makes me doubt it. Anyone here have some more clarity if being a 2021 model, it can't be updated past 3.x.x?

 

That is complete and utter nonsense. My 2021 P300 is currently at 4.2.1. Your dealer is BSing you. Either take it to another dealer or demand them to force an update.

 

That is what I assumed! Not that it really effects my day-to-day driving it, but good to know.

 

Also at 4.2.1 on my 2021 P400. Find a better dealer. You are also likely coming out of warranty soon, if you're not already. If you are still in warranty, I'd get whatever is causing your issue sorted as a warranty item. It's not going to fix itself....
