I have typically done a clear bra (paint protection film - PPF) on my new cars as here in Arizona, our "yards" are gravel, so having stones tossed up from other vehicles is very common. The paint on the front, hood and mirrors get peppered and windshields get chipped and cracked.
Sometimes it is a half-bra (front and partially up the hood) but most often it is a full front (front, full hood, front fenders and backs of mirrors)
In looking at the front of the Defender, it looks like it will require a full clear bra. (thus removing the D E F E N D E R badge from the hood)
Has anyone here done a clear PPF? Curious as to any issues, concerns and cost for comparison.
Thanks,
Scott
Indeed I just had mine done. Full frontal PPF so all lines are at seams. I took their suggestion and removed the matte decal on the hood as well as the defender lettering. I purchased replacements from PowerfulUK to replace on top once completed. Easy breezy. The wrap was about $4500. I also included a horizontal strip on the front above the windshield as well as the front sides of the mirrors.
I wanted to replace the lettering anyway because the matte black went better with my front end custom repaint than OEM and the aftermarket decal from PowerfulUK is a bit longer which lines up better with the side hood finishers.
Cheers!

just had mine done. See ‘Matt Wrap’ post. I had Stek matt on paint and clear on gloss.
I had my full hood, front bumper, full front fenders and the lower rocker panels all the way to the rear wrapped. I have the X-dynamic package and wanted to keep the piano black panels along the lower sides of the car protected. Cost was around $2,300 installed with Xpel.
