Are they axing these too? First time I have heard. I wonder where this is going to end... Hoping to put an order for a MY 2024, but not so sure I am doing if less and less actually comes with the car. Is there light in the end of this tunnel? When?
My 2023.5 V8 came without these fitted. Just a blank piece of plastic where the monitor should be on each door.

I don’t understand what’s missing here. Mind showing us some pics?

So, recent vehicles are being delivered without blind spot monitoring? Jeez...

My D90S has a Friday build date.

No they do have blind spot monitoring. It's the indicator LED in each door that's missing. They should be coming with this feature on each door, and it's supposed to light up and warn passengers of any traffic before opening the door.

What it should look like

What it looks like on my 2023.5 V8. Note the blind spot indicator is missing.

Same on the rear door.

Blind spot monitors are the lights embedded in the side mirrors to warm against lane changes and turns into other vehicles. Those are mandated in the EU at least.

This feature is called Clear Exit Monitor and it's intended to warn occupants against opening a door, while the vehicle is stopped, if it senses an oncoming car or bike. This is not mandatory although I could see the EU pushing for it eventually.

Imo, it's a useless feature unless you know it's there and you make an effort to look at the light. It's not obvious otherwise. I parallel park every day and never think to check it. Rear occupants are pretty much guaranteed to have no idea what it even is.

Just noticed they even cheaped out in the external mirror adjustment ****. I am still stunned at the amount of content removed from these trucks with no consideration for the customer. It seems amazingling short sighted or simply a reflection of JLR culture.

I wonder if these can be retrofitted, one would think that since the sensors exist (mirror) that it "should" be able to be added? Also makes you wonder why they had to eliminate it, since it appears to just be a led indicator?
