You can just pull that trim piece off and add foam or felt. So many of the Defender interior pieces just snap together. It's like a giant version of the Defender Lego model.

Does this stuff help with wind noise? Hoping it does.
the noise on the highway close to my driver side-door is up to mid 70 decibels (per my Apple Watch app). Thanks.

Yes. It soaks in and swells the rubber for a tighter seal.

You might need your Apple watch checked though. 70db is as loud as a vacuum cleaner or small generator. 75db is like standing at the edge of a highway or a lawn mower.

Thanks. Yes, the wind noise is VERY loud on the highway. Callers on the phone always ask if I have my windows open. Maybe related to my sunroof rattle which the service rep recommended be replaced at the body shop (a component or carriage is bowed). Waiting for a new sunroof to arrive. Anyway, ordered the grease. I’ll try it out.

I should have noted that to get that piece off you need to take off the grab handle at the far left side of the dash. (4 big exposed torx bolts ) There is one small black torx screw that holds the left side of the trim piece. Remove the screw then just pull the trim piece toward you. I lined all 4 outer edges with strips of adhesive felt. Seems quiet so far.

Hearing a rattle noise - driver’s side by steering column on bumpy road surfaces. Any ideas?
