really strange. has to be a bug... but maybe that sequence i described caused them to sync up.
Just tired that sequence and it went to miles, but reverted back to km after I shut to iphone app off. It went to miles only when the iphone app is open.

I'm jealous and hoping this comes to Android but I won't hold my breath. I had the activity band with my previous Defender and really miss it, so this would be a great alternative.

This is great! As I don't have the option of using the activity key without paying 1k+ to retrofit in the module that was not included in 2020...

Sadly, I'm a Garmin fan not an Apple user. I love my Garmin Epix. I've been fantasizing about the Activity Key but haven't stomached the activation of it. With the GAP Tool inbound, I thought about an Activity Purchase again. Now..... never! I think it'd be cheaper to just get a low end Apple watch and much less of a pita. GLAD they released that.

Actually, the butcher's bill for my Activity Key was $320 off eBay and $225 to activate it with the dealer. Rather close to the cost of an Apple Watch. Now what I must see is how this works in the middle of nowhere. I have a sneaky feeling it will not work outside of wifi and/or cell service. For me, the Activity Key is perfect for field work, which tends to be in the middle of nowhere. I suppose I can test them both out in early June, when I have an extended field period in southern Utah/northern Arizona.

BTW, Rakusak, if you want the 2020 model of the activity key I have one available I no longer need, cut you a super deal.

Thanks @Dogpilot . I was told that I do not have the module that would speak to the key, hence the 1k cost...

Well, if one looked about various breaking yards, one for a good deal cheaper may be had. It is the same module on all the LR models and apparently the Jag's as well. I would feel confident one or two have met an early fate.

Mine came with the activity key, but it's still siting in the box. Never had the urge to wear a second band, since I could do it with the phone. Apple Watch add on is a nice bonus, but still feels like extra work to me. Guess it's just habit, but I always use keys. The only time I use the phone is when I start it early to warmup/cool down.
