Default Just installed…

…..and so far so good. The colors match well including the red led compared to the OEM ones above….

I’m late to the thread but wondering why this, at $225 or whatever it is, rather than the PowerfulUK model that cost me, iirc, 88 pounds, a tad over a hundred bucks? Is it a desire for the surrounding red light that the PUK piece lacks, or something else?

Thanks!

I am not doing either (since do not have any issues with the OEM backup lights), but if I were to, I would go with the PUK ones. The additional red lights are a tad much IMO.

Since we all like our own style (and usually scoff at others<g>), here's my two cents. I have the PowerfulUk versions. I really like them but mourn that I lost the left hand one when I installed the Lucky8/Rhino ladder. It's mounting point took away the driver side and I lost a lot of my added light. For this, I like the seemless effect of it as the recessed PowerfulUk don't look as "native". However, not a fan of yet another red brake light loop. If I got one, it would have the plain/black outer trim. Don't know if it would reduce the price and still don't know if I would bite at the current price. IF it light up more, I might try it out - but same brightness, I'm a pass.

Pic of these from the cameras..

The only reason I went with these over the Powerful UK lights was the fact that I didn’t have to deal with the wiring harness. And I was curious.

Still planning on snipping the wires that make the red lights operate. They look fine but no need. Just want the white reversies.

I made a test lead and hooked up the pins on the little white connector to the lamp module. Here is what each of the pins/wires are hooked cup to:

I like how it looks w/ the red LED's in the black surround disabled.

Without the red surround LED's these extra backup lights really blend in nicely : )
