Should I not get my hopes up?
My last Amendment possible is 09/28/22, build date 10/28/22, delivery date 12/23/22, and planned handover is 12/23/22. Customer handover is blank.. Location is Massachusetts, USA. How likely will I be picking up my new Defender on December 23rd? Do delays happen a lot? Are those dates usually accurate and is handover date usually the same as customer handover date?
Trying not to get my hopes up, but I have big plans for Christmas and a ski trip right after that I would love to have this vehicle in time for.

I can tell you that mine was out of production on 4.22.22, and the initial handover date was 6.17.22. Then I was told 7.7.22. THEN it was 7.1.22. THEN I got a call on 6.9.22 that it just showed up at the dealership. Picked it up on 6.13.22.
Hard to make sense of the timeline, but doesn’t matter to me now. Good luck, the wait was totally worth it.

I got mine 6/28/21, with a forecast handover date of 7/5. So beat it by a week. But that was 14 months ago, just before the crazy long lead times. Mine was 90 days from order to keys-in-pocket.
Mine was just the opposite. Production complete 5/20, Scheduled handover 7/15, pushed to 8/26, latest build sheet indicates 9/2.... It's all so random. I have a roadtrip planned for a while beginning 8/27.... was hoping to take the truck but unless I get really lucky it looks like I'll be taking the car.
I don't think ANY car manufacturer can pinpoint to the day, week or even month when an ordered car will physically arrive. Far too many factors out of their control. They try to guestimate it the best they can, hence the ever changing EDD's.
