No, but you need to retorque them after 70 Mls. & 350 Mls.
Please do for safety

Yes, I’m aware of the retorquing after certain miles. But do you have to do it twice?

You have to take the wheels off to retorque the spacers, when you put the wheel back on torque them to spec.

Like I always say when I hike: I might be slow, but I eventually get there.

Thanks, @Defendit.. .

I took them all off and retorqued. But the clicking sound from the front wheels didn't go away. I contacted the vendor for Bora Spacers, and he believes the sound is coming from the Rotor hatch and not from the spacers. He's had one previous customer that had the same issue. He doesn't seem to know a solution to this. Has anybody had this problem or even know what a rotor hatch has to do with this clicking sound?

What bolts/nuts did you use? My Lotus had clicking that drove me crazy. After a lot of investigating, it seems like it is the collar on bolt, I guess they wear a little and jiggle even when torqued to spec. I put a little grease on it and it stopped. The defender nuts have a similar collar so it might be worth looking into

was going to purchase either 20 or 22 spacers till i saw your post. i have aftermarket wheels and just want to push the rears out. got a square settup to be easily able to rotate tires.

i believe i have cutouts in my wheels and hopefully no need to grind the oem studs.

did you end up grinding yours? Did you actually measure the studs? my installer asking me to do so but your info would say me a bunch of work

You can have spacers in 20mm, 22mm., 25mm.

I will try to mount tomorrow 22mm.in front, 25mm. at the rear. ( on 18" satin dark grey 5094 wheels)

The studs on the Defender are 27 or 28mm.

Did you ever go with spacing out the 22's?

So, several have said that running a 25mm spacer will require shaving or cutting down the studs so as to not hit the inside of the wheel. This info seems to be coming from folks running 20" or less wheels.

I have the factory 22s. I've never taken em' off yet, but what I've discovered from searching online is that the 22" wheels have pockets between the holes. For other vehicles in my past this has served to be sufficent to allow a little poke through of the studs through the spacers.

The question is, will it be enough if I run a 25mm spacer?

Do the 20" and below wheels not have pockets between the holes, and therefore require shaving the studs down? Or do they all have pockets and its just not deep enough?

Pic of the back of a 22" OEM wheel for reference. All I have for now.
