any issues they had were 100% driver and line selection. But, they would know that if they bothered to check the spec sheets. Maybe the intent was just to drive views through controversy.

im sure the defender tires were the GY Wranglers. For the recorded, those tires sidewalls suck and no one should be surprised at the puncture.
It has more ground clearance and better off-road geometry than the LC, G and Ineos. I have listed approach/breakover/departure angles, ground clearance and wading depths respectively for all three below:

Defender 110 w/ air suspension in off-road height: 37.4°/27.8°/40.0° 11.5" ground clearance and 35.4" wading depth
Land Cruiser : 32°/22°/23° 8.7" ground clearance and 27.5" wading depth
G550: 31°/26°/30° 9.5" ground clearance and 27.5" wading depth
Ineos: 36.2°/28.2°/36.1° 10.4" ground clearance and 31.5" wading depth

The Ineos has a slightly better breakover angle than the Defender 110, but that aside, the Defender objectively has the best off-road geometry.

This Top Gear video is complete nonsense, especially considering how much they loved the Defender when it came out and they still give it a very high rating.

Nope it's definitely not fully inflated. That can be done but this is not the case here. Takes a bit of doing and these folks are barely able to select a TR mode, let alone get into the suspension controls to fully inflate.
Regular off-road height in effect. Still plenty of inflation available.

It's behaving exactly like an IFS/IRS vehicle. Wheel lifts are completely expected, normal, and par for the course.

Also worth noting that the Defender's air suspension is cross-linked, just like in every other LR product since the LR3. This means when one wheel is pushed up when off-roading, air in the system will inflate the air spring on the opposite side to push it down, essentially mimicking a solid axle. It works incredibly well.

I did not know that. Thanks

Oh yeah, haha. We got some 20” 5094’s in June which you can see in some of the photos. That muddy day was the reason we choose to downsize. Aside from that, the only mod is a RhinoRack roof rack. Is this more like what you expected?

As others have pointed out, the driver was a bumbling idiot. And I think it's well known that the factory AT tires simply are for show rather than provide a reliable off-road experience.

Huzzar! The article for this *cough* horribly facilitated and probably sponsored test is out: https://www.topgear.com/car-news/big...dier-vs-toyota
They ranked the Defender worst out of the four. I have a sneaky suspicion that they didn’t have one with the off-road pack and etcetra. However, I would at least like to disagree with where the G-Wagen was ranked. It is, by far, the worst out of the four. We used to have a G63 (the most common version - good luck finding a non-AMG model in Aus) and it was ****. When we first got it, it was sick. But then we spent time in the interior, and we were met with loud creaking on every touch point. Then we drove it - when you go around a corner it feels like it is going to fall over, that is if you can even get around the corner due to its massive turning circle. Then, we took it on a road trip to the some resort in the outback. Obviously, there were corrugated roads and by the time we got home it was shaken to pieces. No seriously, now whenever you listened to music the speakers rattled, and it had to go into the dealer several times after that to get it fixed, even being fitted with the base model non-metal covers to eliminate the problem - which of course didn’t work. I think it also left us stranded in the middle of the road feeling the Christmas spirit (it turned into a Christmas tree) about three times with its random electrical gremlins. Meanwhile, the only time our Defender have left us stranded was just a few days ago when it got a flat off-roading - not really the cars fault.
