Picked up our Defender SE last week. Couldn't find a vehicle that came with the tow package installed, so dealer said they'd order from parts and install after the fact. The rub? Parts manager says tow package is on backorder for like .. forever. Just curious to know if anyone else is in the parts queue for the same reason and if they've heard the same story.

 

A lot of the accessories are on backorder. It's not just the tow pkg. I tried to order a ladder and A Frame for my wife's before Christmas and our dealer wouldn't even take my money. They said they don't want me to pay for something that they have no idea how long it would be before it comes in.

 

I was at my dealership yesterday and the service manager said that basically everything is back ordered because the uk is essentially shut down for its COVID restrictions so it makes manufacture and shipping are super challenging. I wanted extended wheel arches and they’re out most everywhere but I’m gonna hold off a while anyway
