It's not our daily driver and so it sits on a trickle charger all the time. This seems to have done the trick, in the sense whenever there is a new update needed it installs fine.

I don't think there is any way to tell in PIVI what the battery status is (apart from the low warning).

If you have the update, and it asks if you want to run it, I would schedule it a few hours ahead and put on a trickle charger to be sure Other than that, I’m. It sure what constitutes a full charge.

Is it just me or has everyone experienced incredibly dim maps and backup camera image that is almost useless because it is so dim as soon as the Defender thinks it is getting dark outside once they updated to OS4? I was hoping this would just "go away", but now I'm wondering if I have a bad ambient light sensor...

I am not sure who I upset at the PIVI headquarters but I still have not had 4.1 pushed to my 2023.5 110. I got 4.01 at the same time as everyone else and my car is always in an area with cell coverage so I have no idea why I was not invited to the party. Is there a way to request it other than driving the 40 miles to my dealer? Does everyone have it already or are there other in my camp?

If it makes you feel better, I have a 23.5 and I've only had one update since taking delivery in July, which is 4.0.0. I'm also almost always in cellular range or wifi. So I'm one person that is more behind than you. Everything works fine so I'm not at all eager to get updates to be honest.

x3 here. 2023.5 as well. 4.0 pushed fairly quick after I bought it, but I haven't seen anything since. I'm going to try locking and alarming while in the garage at night. Then it's on wifi and maybe I'll have some luck getting an update.

^ maybe that would explain why my 2023.5 isn't a priority for updating. Literally one things might be updated and that one thing works all the time anyways. (wireless charger) Everything else has 0 to do with my P300.

One thing I found that has helped with updates getting applied with error about low battery. Our Defender batteries are AGM batteries. Regular battery chargers only charge at 12 v. I purchased a battery charger that is designed for agm charge and maintenance and the charge voltage will cycle on the high side at 14.2. With my old regular charger I could not get the PIVi to update and the update errored with battery issues. The first night I put on the AGM specific charger (Ctek mx5) the next morning I now have the latest Pivi update applied. I am not sure if Karma/luck/spruce branch on hood played apart but I now have the latest PIVi 4.1.1 downloaded and installed. Food for thought.
