Probably not many of us but figure to gather all those lucky enough to have one.
picked up a Carpathian Gray Not Carpathian edition from a canceled ordered over the weekend. had to pay over sticker which was a hard pill to
swallow but i guess that’s how things are now
will be trading in my 2020 P400 to the dealer once i get as many accessories i added on
future plans
- adding roof rails. done enough research and don’t see any reason why they can’t be added. I couldn’t believe how expensive these were
- moving over my 20 inch Black Rhino Chase with K02
- moving over my Proud Rhino 1 inch lift
-Exhaust system. Right now only Milltek and Quicksilver on the market. I have a Milltek on my P400. pretty happy with it but a little concerned that it will be too loud. Ideally need something with valves like the Quicksilver
- Extended fender flares painted matte black and then ppf
- moved over a bunch of Powerful UK led’s upgrades
-debating on side ladder and box. have the ladder on my p400 which makes more sense to leave on. Cost around 600 to remove it with a new trim piece that needs that needs to be painted
I love the V8, but can't believe they didnt make the rear brake calipers blue as well. Also they are dumping the blue altogether. All said, if I were getting a 110, I would have gone v8 but instead I went loaded 90X as a project car... saving a little for my rs etron gt that will never get built
The supposed story behind the calipers is the front and rear are made by different vendors. Brembo powder coats theirs and the rear vendor couldn't match. How they couldn't solve that is beyond me!
i purchased my p400 in Dec 2020 off the lot and for a pretty heavy discount. Ended picking Eiger which wasn’t my first choice purely due to it having the Meridian Surround. Audio is very important. it had a 3 roll, missing XM, and had the bright silver trim. i figured i could change most of that and have been chipping away at the long list
so after a year of ownership i really enjoy mostly everything about the car except it’s lacking power and sound. the v6 is sufficient but i am really just used to more powerful cars. If the v8 was out and available for purchase back then i would of bought it. I did add a milltek exhaust on my p400 and that did help a lot in the sound department
my p400 had a sticker under 80k so it was missing some options. Not sure if i really missed any of those options but the v8 has every option
so to summarize a my internal debate to switch i would say the power and really the color of the car. Carpathian is amazing in person.
I just recently purchased a V8 Carpathian Edition 90. Also had to pay over sticker, but then again....I won't have to wait at least a year for this amazing vehicle. Taking delivery in a few weeks and will let you know my first impressions. I've never even driven a new Defender, let alone a V8 90, but I'm sure I'll be impressed based on all the rave reviews!
I ordered the full Urban Automotive kit for mine. Can't wait to see how it turns out! I'll post pics when it's finished.
the blue calipers in pictures don’t do the actual color justice. they are not just blue, it’s a metallic iridescent blue. having never seen it person before i was also shocked
it would be pretty hard to match
