I want to order a 2024 V8. Do the 2024's not come with a tow hitch receiver? I just got an email from my dealer and it looks like it does not.

I only need the hitch for my bike rack and do not need tow assist software. What are my options for hitch receiver?

 

Just picked up this 2024 SE. The V8 sounds amazing. No tailer hitch. First Land Rover since a 99 Discovery.

 

it’s an option that needed to be added. Poor build from the dealer. you can add it after but you are looking 2500+ for oem

my v8 had it on. it was a must for my bikes

 

my wife has a new RR sport first edition with the new bmw 4.4 v8 TT. in comparison that bmw v8 is superior is all ways to the old 5.0 v8. the HP figures quoted are prob severely lower than the actual. Bmw is known for under disclosing the figures

i have had several cars with that bmw engine and can understand it was chosen

 

It doesn't look like it is an option on the 2024 builds

 

There is a persistent bug in the online builder. The items including the trailer hitch are sort of hidden: you need to find "exterior" options, which doesn't show up if you step through the build process step by step. Should be $700 for just the receiver.

Actually it's "Options" / towing.

Did they remove tow options for V8's in 2024 which seems stupid.

 

For some reason it skips from the first subpage of this hive to the Summary - and has for at least a year. The options (other than major packs, like Offroad, Towing, advanced OR, airbags, etc) are available for the online builder only by directly viewing each individual page.

I do remember reading that certain things are not supported for the V8, like roof rails? Tow options might easily be affected.
