thanks!

i got Vulcan extended fender flares and my milltek exhaust inbound.

think i will be good with mods for awhile. might change out the wheels to some 22’s.

i know 22’s aren’t for off roading but i don’t see myself taking this out and getting it all scratched up

Picked up my Carpathian non Carpathian Edition last week of '21. Just have added tinting and ceramic coating but would love to add some more aggressive tires - probably will keep the '22 inch wheels but add Nitto Ridge Grappler as they make a direct size replacement. Understand not ideal for off-road, but this one will never see technical 4x4 duty - only the snow/ ice of the Northeast with the occasional muddy road. I have gone back and forth on the mud flaps - first glance love them/ second look not sure?! Even the all seasons kick up a ton of debris/ dirt/ sand/ salt/ etc so probably will get them. Were yours stock LR flaps or after-market?

I am coming off a '14 RRS Dynamic - same motor and would have expected at least a relatively similar experience as thought they were more "similar" - absolutely not the case. I am surprised at such a difference between the two - Defender is heavier/ much more "truck" - you feel bulletproof while driving it - so far love the Defender and do feel quite lucky to have my hands on one. March '21 ordered/ late summer "un-slotted"/ late November found out my order was picked back up and delivery on Dec 27 - what a roller coaster. Feel like I will keep this rig a while - amazing how many people stop and inquire about it - looks like nothing else on the road.

i have the oem classic flaps. the larger ones.

when you do go all terrain tires you end up picking up rocks and pebbles and launch them at the person behind you. not the main reason i got them but i have had a cracked windshield driving behind a truck. keeps your car cleaner also

the carpathian gray is amazing. i get a lot more comments with the Carpathian compare to the eiger

Picked up my V8 a week ago then went on a ski road trip and put 1500 miles on it!! Loving every (s)mile. First Land Rover and British vehicle.

Will be doing an aftermarket exhaust at some point for sure.

Default box

removed the logo box decoration yesterday and replaced with powerful Uk delete. basically 4 black round stickers that you use to cover up the holes

lucky 8 makes a similar product but included a oem land rover badge. Lucky’s option is significantly more expensive and decided to go with a cleaner look

Had the Lucky option on my P400 which was great.

But, it appears Land Rover made some changes or maybe specific to the v8. Behind the square and sandwiched behind the glass there is a small QR code. if you look closely it’s visible and kind of bothering me.

i will prob wrap the boxes gloss black and then re-install to hide the QR.

I can't see the QR code that you describe. Is it actually in the middle of the glass? How large is it? What does it now look like on the inside of the vehicle?

I am picking up my D90 tomorrow and unfortunately mine too has that stupid Signature Graphic option. I bought the Lucky8 kit, which is ridiculously expensive for 3 round stickers and an OEM Land Rover badge. I have no idea what this is going to look like inside the vehicle. The D90 has some sort of a plastic storage pouch on the inside, behind the panel.

Do the screws that hold the exterior panel on the D110 actually go through the glass? A close-up pic would be appreciated!

the Qr is smaller than a penny and it’s hard to see unless you get within 5 feet of the car. I was just surprised as my HSE did not have it.

the box was never meant to be taken off. you kind of see through the tinted glass and on the 110 there is a panel inside. you can see the shadow of the glue or tape they used to mount the interior piece

was not as noticeable on my old defender and why i went ahead and took the box off again. but it’s enough to bother me.

figured since i already took the box off and dealt with all the double sided tape removal it would be easier to wrap them now

on the 110 there is no screws. just nubs in the box panel that sit in the indents on the glass

not sure about the 90.

take some pics of the qr tomorrow. my holes are already covered with the stickers

I think wrapping the panel looks the best from the outside, and on the 110 having the panel doesn't interfere with the visibility from the inside of the car. Unfortunately that's not the case on the 90. The panel sits right in the middle of the window on the 90, blocking about 80% of the visibility from the backseat. Dummest option ever on the 90! I was going to wrap my panel, but now I think I'm going to use the overpriced kit and hope it doesn't look too bad!

You could always replace the rear glass - has anyone priced that out?

i am sure that would be very costly. i wouldn’t want to break any water seals

if i remember correctly i believe the 90 comes optioned with no box? if that is the case you should be fine removing.

the wrap is a good option if you got a good installer. the land rover logo protrudes above the box. i have wrapped some simple items in the past but the logo prob requires some special techniques. Going to leave it to a pro to complete
