Oh wow! Interesting, I asked because it looked a little longer then the slimline2 that uses the OEM roof rails then the one that is offered here in the states. And sure enough it is. I don't think they offer this size rack in the states that uses OEM rails, which is a total bummer. I see there is a 4th set of mounts over the drivers door, custom? because the rack is so long? Dig your setup, especially the blacked out ladder.

This sounds pretty good for a single muffler. Curious how it sounds with both tips replaced by the same kind.

Hired the in house tech to help replace my bash plate. Got a donor plate from a wrecked Defender. Straight swap. Out with the old and in with the new. OEM part $245 shipped.

Straightened out the front plastic grill a bit too.

Frustratingly both front bolts were cross threaded by the geniuses at port install. Tidied up the threads and got them back in albeit shy of the 60Nm torque. The other 4 are torqued to spec.

The old

The new

I may replace the beat up front bolts (left most) at some point.

Just like a new pair of school shoes in September, it's time to go scuff them up.

Beautiful shot with steelies and Mt. Si in the background. Not many steelie-shod Defenders round here. Saw one in Pangea the other day. So very jealous.

@GavinC - I, too, have in-house mechanics. Not very skilled, but exceptional at taking blame if something goes wrong! I'm now pleased that mine are in college and I have promoted myself to "Supervisor" for most basic maintenance and parts swaps. I've spent the last several years training them in the descriptive profanity that my father used when working on vehicles. I think they are well educated at this point.

I hope you hung the old one up in the garage! That's how they should look!

The garage?!

Plenty of room over the mantle once I shove aside those wedding pictures.
