Finished installing the rack at lunch today. Still trying to figure out tires for the Pilbaras, stand by….

Is this the full size rack? Was this the one that slides into the existing rails or the one where you have to remove the rails? I asked because the mounting points don't look right or at least different from what I have.

It’s the larger of the two that use the factory rails.

I wanted to go with the big dog but couldn’t justify the added cost and saw too many posts about the difficulty of removing the factory rails.

Ah ok yup makes sense why it looks a little different! Yup I had trouble with mine so I would say that's a good call if the little bit of added height doesn't matter.

Finished up the roof rack and cases install. Very happy with the results and the quality of the rack.

Added some new lights to the rack. Should provide some nice lighting.

New wheels and tires day. Current setup is 265/70/18 Hankook AT2 on 27et Tuffant Pilbaras, 30mm spacer and 1.5 Johnson Rods. The differing levels of success with tire fitment on these vehicles is shocking. Johnson Rods says you can fit a 275/70/18. There’s no way that’s happening on my truck. I’m getting some slight rubbing at full lock on the forward inner fender liner at normal height and off road height. I’m thinking about playing with the front spacers a bit but not sure how much success I’ll have.

Haven’t used a valet since that day.

I know this is a rather old thread....but do you have a link for the wheel? I think it looks awesome, I am not sure I would want to give up my heated wheel option though.
Thanks.

what do you think of the tuffant sliders? Do your passengers find them to be handy as steps?
