Over the weekend I installed the @PowerfulUK side rails. Also switch the ladder over, as I've got a drivers side 270° awning coming. Not 100% convinced that the shovel is now in an OK spot.
Once you use the vacuum method you'll never ever want to do it any other way. Top and tails and in white tie. No muss no fuss.
This picture is great. Looks like you've gone three rounds with a bear.
Next time when I use the vacuum pump maybe I'll wear a suit because why the hell not lol. I won't get dirty other than I'll need to coat the filter gasket with oil. Still need to get a vacuum pump, and I'll do a trans fluid drain & refill at 50k miles. I'll have my friend whose lift I borrowed do that for me.
I recently bought the Click & Hang coat hanger after having a new RRS loaner car a few weeks ago with one fitted. Since I wear sport coats regularly - its perfect, and I didn't need to buy a Click & Go base since my Defender was built with the integrated base. Plus, it can be removed and used as an actual hanger.
Used it for the first time a few weeks ago when I went to my friend's Playboy-themed party where the men had to dress as Hugh Hefner, and the women had to dress in Playboy Bunny costumes, and used my new Click & Hang to hang my silk smoking jacket while in the car, and I removed it and used it to hang my jacket in the hotel room. I even brought my tobacco pipe, and since it was on an open-air riverboat, smoking was allowed. I was the only one with a functional costume lol.
Its a useful little thing. Not for everyone, but perfect for me. I also don't think I've ever spent money on a coat hanger until I bought this. $97.00 was a fortune, but I know I'll get my use out of it.

That's quite the jacket.
Transmission drain and fill is next on my drive-line to do list. I'm at 67k. 75k is my plan. That an the overdue MHEV battery air filter at 63k miles . Although I've not been able to find any part number for that little filter. I'm not sure it's even doable in the 7-seater without major disassembly and frustration induced murder-suicide.
Another brake flush is due but I'll wait till I put my OEM rims back on as I can more easily access the bleeder screws.
@tbrown What are you putting on those side rails? I wonder if thats a good shovel spot?
Good recommendation. I might see how it fits on the ladder (passenger) side. As I was going to keep the drivers side for clipping the dog leashes to it, as that'll be the side with the awning.
Installed Melville and Moon seat covers to protect seats from dogs. Great fit and finish
Nice to hear. I've got the OEM ones and I hate them, they feel like big black plastic trash bags. The front ones also don't stay tucked in. How was the lead time from South Africa? Thanks.
Took 4 weeks to produce and 1 week to ship from SA to USA. I was surprised to find out no customs or tariffs fees. Delivery was via FEDEX international economy.
