Discovery LED Upgrade

superbrightleds.com has ones that will plug in (called festoon), I also found some generic in the blister pack aisle at one of the auto parts stores, I soldered mine in. Much more light, and way less amp drain on MFU. And my MFU had failed because the big transistor in it that is used to dim the lights has no heat sink, had hole melted in the plastic MFU case. Engineers!! Being an old guy, I need all the light to check my Depends after first encounter with the "Death Wobble".

ok, if you go to superbrightleds, and plug your truck into the bulb finder, you will see the one bulb they listed for all dome lights. It will only work for the center light. you will need a feeston type bulb thas about 3 mm longer than the one they have listed. i didnt do the vanity lights because they are meant to be softer lights for a woman to adjust her makeup as needed. and as you can imagine, my wife frequently likes to ride in my truck so i left those alone.

Just an FYI...
I used the 3710-CWHP3 for all 3 dome lights from SUPERBRIGHTLEDS.COM. They fit, but you might have to spread the connectors just a bit (not much). I was trying to save money (but in hind sight) i probably would have bought the 3710-xHP6 for the very back and middle dome light. Hope this helps.
