She mentioned the trasformation in my "garage language". Says that when l use to work on the cars...she'd barely hear a peep out of me. Now, she has to have the TV or radio on to drown out the cussing, swearing and banging noises. And mind you...this is an unattached garage...lol.

On a more topic related issue...the swap has begun.

And after reading what l just posted...you have to wonder why any sane person would put themselves through this...

I guess l answered my own question there didn't l...lol.

Oh well...off to the garage l go!

And so it begins...

Front TF springs & 1" spacer are in the front. Changed brake pads and rotors, drag link and tie rod bar. Removed front bumper from 03. That was enough for today.

Hopefully, l'll get after it again tomorrow.

Lol..... garage language. Admiring your compressor, I ain’t shy. First real snow of the season finally. Decided now would be a good time to put the thrower on the tractor, hours worth of bs tops. Nah, four hours and would’ve heard strange beastial noises coming from the barn. I humped a tire. The valve stem was split. Removed the wheel, had to pull the lip to shake a new stem in, then had to put bead back over rim and use a bike tire pump to seat bead. Goal was 20lbs, sounded like a wounded moose in the barn. I burned most of the Xmas leftovers I was storing for a really cold day..... I’m gonna freeze now.

Yep, cut from the same cloth here too. My snowblower is still in the corn crib, buried behind two push mowers, gas cans, several rakes/shovels/handled work ornaments...plus, it "still" needs the drive wheel belt replaced from when it broke last winter. Here l can spend seven hours in the garage yesterday, monkey farting around with this swap...but can't find two seconds of motivation to work on the snowblower.

And yes...tires are so much more fun to repair in the cold. Rubbers like iron and getting it to do what you want is mentally and physical challenging.

Truth be told...l'd forgotten how much time and effort that had gone into my old rover. In my pea-brain it seemed lIke this would be a weekend job, the complete transformation...but as l gaze at it through tired *** eyes yesterday...l'm like...oh yeah, l've got the washer bottle to move, which means removing the SAI system from engine and firewall, changing the battery cables terminal ends for my 1140cca battery, running harnesses for interior winch controls, etc, etc, etc...

You kind of forget, again mentally and physically, that the old beast got all of this done over two years length of time...and now...being the idiot l am...l'd like to knock it out in a weekend. Plus, everything is double duty, remove lift kit-remove stock coils-install lift kit...remove HD drag/tie rod bar-remove stock stuff (which was a pain, had to grind all of the nuts off) -reinstall HD stuff...etc, etc, etc...

Anyhow, as the Duke would say..."we're burning daylight"...here.

Old darky gray - dark gray (or grey, for the UK crowd) 03 LR

After looking at this list...yes, l pretty much offend everyone with my not PC names...lol.

Truth be told...l'm not much into naming vehicles. After owning about 40 over the past 42 years...no need getting to personal.

Ha, cuz you where under the Rover so much there's no time left for snow removal..... I bought a Jeep, unfortunately that leaves me time to fix my snow removal equipment (not that I want to). I'm still not convinced Rover R&D's their vehicles to withstand cold weather below 50*.

And we aren't as young anymore. Ambition meets old age = sore and cranky.
