Thanks guys. It's a diesel, 200tdi. It's got some pull to it, strong on hills (from what l've encountered). Righthand drive. Fortunately, being a mechanic and using both arms/hands equally...the shifting only took a few minutes to feel comfortable with. Granted, my right arm did reach out the window once in search of the shifter...lol. Truth be told, the righthand driving side doesn't bother me one bit. Kind of thought it would take some getting use to...but nope.

She's pretty rough around the edges...but exactly what l wanted for now. Something l could wheel/camp in and not worry about scratches. Someday, maybe, l'll beautify her. But for now, she will get driven daily, building confidence in her...and then the build will begin. She has all new coils/bilstein shocks/towers, rock sliders and heavy duty steering bars (*that l need to install) and he threw in a bunch of other stuff. I'm already looking forward to this project.

I'll start a build topic on it soon.

Nice!

P38 wise I’m a 97 Vitesse fan, Holland & Holland, or a Rhino fan. My 3 friends in Austin each have a Rhino. I still regret selling my mint 97 AA Yellow Vitesse to this day!

Lately I've become one too. Though the special editions don't do much for me, particularly when those parts will be tougher to find.

The prices look pretty good right now as well. Frames are better than the D2's and allegedly the 4.6 blocks are better too (though some of that is urban myth I'm sure).

I must admit I really like the p38 to drive and use as it’s more comfortable and more room. I’ll probably never get mine back from my dad. Lol. He says only way is if he gets his own l322.
