so front cover buttoned up.
oil pump gear has a beveled edge that points toward front cover.
I greased it full of assembly lube. cam and crank gears have reference marks pointing towards one another.... 6 and 12 o'clock..(or like the creation of adam /see Sistine chapel ceiling) for gaskets, I used gasket shellac on front cover to block (holds in place) and right stuff on the cover side. same with water pump gasket.

zipped up the bottom end.
Loctite on the pick up bolts and right stuff sandwich on the sump gasket.
quick question .... what configuration gets to use the little pick up mounting in this photo? no need to blank that?

rhoads bleed down lifters are getting a bath, while I start the head gaskets...

heads going on.....copper cote on the gaskets. arp studs. going 20/40/60/80/sleep/88
heads= port and polish. crower dual springs (cam recommended fit). s.b.c. valves (see page 1 for dimensions)
