Decided to make a list of things needed done, like you, but without fancy check box. I'm more of a...draw a line through it when l'm done type of guy...plus, it just seems like a lot more work...lol. Anyhow, set the list on the bench, thinking...l'll hang it on the wall later...then started assembling the engine for the 04. Naturally, while grabbing oil for the engine...some spilled...on the list.
So, if l ever make another...number one on the list will be...1) hang up list stupid, before it gets ruined.
I typically write them out on the hood of the offending vehicle than tape it up. With my assistant reading off the list she made on her phone as we went through the LR3 it went pretty quick. I highly recommend the assistant part
We dug into the headliner, few little tricky areas but common sense will get you across the finish line on getting it pulled loose. Now getting it out of the damn truck is another thing entirely. Also discovered that the passenger side seat is dead as dead gets. Hopefully I can sort that out. So tomorrow we are going to pull the seats as well. My assistant is awesome and is really starting to catch on to some of the tricks of the trade.

Put in a couple more hours today. Headliner won again. We.did However get all the seats out of the LR3. Really not as bad as I thought it would be. Pretty sure the navigation dvd player is a goner. So I will likely need to add that to the replace list. Tomorrow the console and rear load space plastic is coming out. That should be the final piece in the headliner comes out puzzle.

Found more mold obviously. Also found the padding is wet and the trucks carpets were a hot mess. That's the reason we are pulling the console tomorrow so the carpet can come out for a very good cleaning and drying out

Life got in the way and ate most of the time that was supposed to be used on the LR3. Tonight we only emptied the dehumidfier and ran a functions check on the stereo and navigation system. I assumed the dvd player for the nav would be destroyed judging from the water line on the door panel and wasn't to sure about the logic7 amp.
I was absolutely shocked when it all worked just fine. The logic7 sound system sounds pretty damn good.
I am wondering if I should do some dynamat type material or bedliner to add additional sound deadner ot the interior structure.
I will be wiring in all the lights while it's apart. Fogs, the big warns, and 4 rack lights up top. Ham and CB radio wired installed and antenna's ran. Dedicated power feed for a fridge and a power invertor.
What else would you guys add while you had your LR3 interior gutted?

I find the LR3 is really quiet already, however I would add some sound deadner if the carpet is all out anyway. Why not.
Great thread and it also show what we can do on these without having to see a shop.
