All reinstalled with shiny shackles. Lol
and I removed the running boards for my next off-road trip in a couple weeks. I’d really like to build sliders and a rear bumper but I need to get a decent engine installed first.

Looking good! Yeah, probably a good idea...getting rid of running boards. Slid into a stump or cross a large snow covered log up there, and you'd be removing them for a different reason. Have a fun time up there. Part of me wants to go, but the other part (gray rover) doesn't seem interested. It seems to feel more comfortable broke down at home...lol.

Good choice on battery terminal connections. This sytle terminal allows you to go with stud type battery in the future, heavy truck application.

Makes adding more accessories even easier on the future, too.

Had to have some fun, first real snow of the year

It was not fluffy stuff lol. We’ll set up after being plowed and set all night in minus 15.

You know your stuck when the winch drags the p38 across the road lol.

Tonight I finally got some free time, I installed extended stainless brake hoses from lucky 8 that I’ve had since before Christmas, than I started getting the 4.6 ready for removal from the rangie. 1 more night should have it out. The brakes on green bastard feel so much better now

I bolted a high lift up in the factory cross bars, and got a cheap neoprene cover to keep it good

I also got a neoprene cover for the powerplant to keep it salt and mess free

I did d a little more with the 4.6 tonight but too tired to do much. I noticed 2 oil coolers plumbed to the motor from in front of the rad. Maybe I’m blind but do the 4.0l have these coolers and hoses as well?

You sure one isn’t a trans cooler and the other an oil cooler?

I have one one of each on my 01’ but I’m not sure if it was factory installed or by the PO at some point

Battle scars are cool, right?
Well after a weekend of wheeling I’ve got a new to do list. First is a clean/ buff/ wax/ polish/ 🙏🏻 Hope it looks better after😕. Lol
i found my windshield squirter pump snapped off, some body trim stolen by branches, an intermittent traction control system and a non winching winch to be fixed.

On the plus side the truck ran great, I think it surprised a lot of the Jeep guys. With the tcs working I could do pretty much anything. Without it was still capable but not able to keep up with the locked trucks in the group.
I’ll get it scanned and see if I have a bad sensor or wiring. Some suggest it may just over heat and shut down. It always comes back after resting for a few hours so this may be the case. If so that’s pretty lame to not be able to run more than a few hours. I’d love air or electric lockers but I cannot afford them for a few years.
