Since I have the week off from work, I decided to finally install a christmas present. My dad had gotten me a patriot 3 into 1 header. Supposed to be a direct fit and mate with the stock exhaust.

So that fairy tale was no where near reality. Had to dismantle half the engine on the drivers side to install it. Than found the easiest way to get it in place was to install it from the bottom up. Than with it in place the down pipe portion that makes the 90 degree turn I find is not a 90 and is angling down to the ground and sits as low if not lower than the muffler (that drags on everything). Did I mention it's a larger diameter than the stock pipes and does not line up to anything.

Took it to a local ma and pa exhaust shop, 45 min later and $80 out of pocket complete 2" exhaust with a custom made down pipe and the exhaust is tucked away better than the factory ever did. The MGB sounds fantastic and I couldn't be happier.

Did a 250 mile road trip in her today with the top down and have the sunburn to prove it....

Got home and started tearing it down for it's next dip job.
