Suggestions on the skid plate?
Thinking 1/4" aluminum, while I like diamondplate it is hard to clean and not smooth for sliding over things

Thoughts?

I used roughly 1/4" aluminum with dimple die holes in it. Looked sweet!

More questions

What is the basket floor I have seen mentioned in the past?

What are some accessories to mount that I can make mounts? Jack is on rear floor not really looking to put that heavy thing 6' in the air

The flooring is FarmTek. PolyMax Poultry/Kennel Flooring - FarmTek
I saw you cut the grill!!! Since its cut you may as well move the winch even farther back. I loosened the cooler and move it back a touch for a little extra clearance.
I'd go with aluminum diamond plate or just flat. I have a diamond plate skid(more of a bumper finisher really) and it slides fine. I wouldn't bother with a really large skid, just upgrade your steering rods and you'll be ok. Maybe have it like this only.

I'd even consider less of a skid than what I drew. Im a fan of more clearance/better approach angle.

And if I were building a bumper from scratch I'd make it to fit an 8274!

I think the winch plate is back as far as we could with the cooler, winch solenoid us above that cooler

The skid will actually start bottom of winch plate matching the angle on the gussets, then bends for that increased angle you see, we were not sure how low to hang it so went for below pit man arm??

What's 8274?

The gussets are made from 1/4" channel I had made and run the inside of frame both sides to the cross member, so far it is lighter then the stock bumper and brush bar, nose is setting up

Warn 8274. Probably one of the best winches ever made
