I just got to see this nice car and was wondering, what engine is in it? It's a diesel. 2.5l?

Looks like a turbo diesel, but I thought those came in the 86' and later. 85 HP compared to regular 68 HP for the 2.5 liter.

 

Looking at the rocker cover I would say it is a 200 tdi. If it has an inter-cooler it definitely is. If not it is probably a 19j turbo diesel with a tdi rocker cover.

 

for the year an model is a 300tdi, best engine ever made for ARGENTINIANS
for land rover ,spares are available anyware,if the price is right buy it,

hi i'm new here, but about that engine it's a 200tdi which i believe are not allowed in a '84 land rover in the US and most European countries, it has to have the same type of engine it came out of the factory with

 

Its a pity really because it is a great unit in a great truck!

 

hei master savanna buzz my 2.5 v6 freelander started ok, but will not keep running , looks like starv fuel, stop and start ok, but after a little while dies, fuel pressure ok. at all times, have a couple of electronics valves on the intake manifold, I donīt know they may be defective, . this vehicle is getting in my nervs , please help me.
