Default 2" lift kit question

Hi Guys,
I'm looking at one of these lift kits and wondered if any of you have used something similar.
I'm new to the whole land rover ownership so forgive my lack of knowledge.
Here it is: Lift Kit
If its something you guys have used and would recommend in place of a spring/shock replacement kit (Terrafirma = ££££/$$$$), please do let me know. My dad has a couple of metal lathes and could turn these in minutes for quarter the price....

Thanks again.
Darren

January must be international body lift month. Seems like everyone wants one right now. Jump in with these guys.....

Most people on here won't recommend using spring spacers with old stock coils for stability issues,but...

Exactly right, you can't lift an old high mileage Disco when it still has the factory suspension, you will experience of lot of out of controled top heaviyness and it will ride terribly.
If you want a real lift, go to Lucky 8.com and look at the 2 different lifts they sell, the Old Man Emu and the Terra Firma.

I am very happy with my TF kit...once I figured out that my suspension was not level due to a stupid bent swaybar...lets just say..that stupid thing is off.

Disco Mike said it all. Ive had the 2" lift from OME on my 98 for about a year now and im 100% satisfied with everything. If you do get a body lift on top of the suspension lift i would think about replacing your ujoints, Especially if you are still running on the stock Rotoflex.

Thanks guys,
I think lucky8.com will kill me on shipping due to being in the UK, but there are a few places I can look for a decent terrafirma kit, just means saving up a little longer.
I have noticed a clunk on the rear left corner this morning, the local roads are pretty cr@ppy and full of holes, but I've never noticed it before.
Should be able to get my head under it this weekend.

Thanks again fellas
