98 le fuel gauge not working

Default 98 le fuel gauge not working

I replaced the fuel pump assembly and wiring harness because it needed it and the gauge still doesn't work. Even the ultragauge says 15 gallons no matter how much I drive or fill it. Anything I should look at since it doesn't seem the ecu is getting the correct reading?

Here is the diagram. see page 116 of the pdf in the google drive linked below etlj970x.pdf (Section E1, pages 4-6)

Get the multimeter out and test each individual hop, point to point. then test the entire run.

thanks, that'll be super helpful. I cant open the link right now, does that have wire colors?

yes. colors are the letters next to the lines.

“GB” in this case. Green/Black

the speedo is also off at increasing increments as speed increases, if theyre connected at all.
