ABS = annoying..yeah

by yanking the modulator..meaning you took the 30a fuse right...now question...when i looked at the fuse there is two fuses for the ABS one is a 30a and the other is a 40a..what gives

Default No, actually.....I meant "Yanked".

No, I mean that I removed the ABS Modulator together. It was stopped-up would not allow fluid to the front brakes. I just used the existing brake pressure regulator and re-piped the lines. They work GREAT!

It's the same proportioning valve. Land Rover specs a different MC between ABS and non-ABS, but I've not been able to determine any difference, and a number of people have been running the ABS MC after removing the pump so it appears to not be an issue.

This is how it needs to be re-plumbed.

ABS

The illustration makes it look like it's a different valve, but it's not. In the ABS plumbing one port on the valve is plugged.

Great information! I'm defiantly going to re-plumb the 96 now.

Why didn't you leave the proportioning valve in it's stock location? It would be a tidier install.

pulled the 30a abs fuse..no CEL light like i heard it suppose to..kind of weird...made my pedal feel a bit better
