I also have a Lubrimatic 30-475 and one of the small Plews.
The lever type put out higher pressure than the pistol grip type.

It comes with a bendy hose, so it worked great on my driveshafts even with my tiny air compressor.

This being my first grease gun I dont know if this is normal, but it leaks out grease while stored.

 

My first cheap grease gun leaked. That's what I like about my current gun, doesn't leak at all

 

Not really. I've never really been interested in them. I have looked at air powered, and keep saying I'm going to get one, but just haven't yet.

The problem with the pistol grip is they only put out 6,000psi, compared to 10,000 for the lever type. But yeah, the lever type can be a royal PITA with a flexible hose. That's why I use a rigid pipe rather than a flex hose.

Over the years I've learned a grease gun isn't something to cheap out on. I've tried cheap ones, and they just don't last. My Lubrimatic, on the other hand, is at least 20 years old, maybe 30.

 

I got my lever grease gun from my Pops when he moved to Arizona. It takes grease from the gun and puts it in the zerk, nuff said. As mentioned the lever can be a pain if you need to hold the hose onto the zerk; it leaves you one hand short to work the lever. I'm too cheap to buy another one though.

 

Yes.
We have that exact one at our shop, doing a oil change on my work van today, it works great, only problem is it over greases, you remove the gun from the zerk and it leaks grease because of the pressure still in the hose.
Makes greasing quick and easy though.
That being said, I would not buy one, who needs another battery to charge/replace in the middle of a job?
