My transmission is donezo as of the other day. I put it in park but it still seems to be in neutral. I tried starting it up but it wont start and i have to turn the key a bunch of times to get it out. It started up fine the other day I'm wondering what I have to do to fix this. I just need the engine to run as I'm selling the engine.

 

Your transmission is not toast.
Pop the trim piece off of the gear shift **** and tighten the nut.
Now all is well once more.
The key will come out and you can put it in park, reverse...it will be fixed.
Then send me $20.

 

if you put it in park but it seems to be in neutral, I would have someone put it in gear and hold the brake while you look under the truck.

You either have a blown diff (or axle or cv), or a broken driveshaft.

 

It sounds like the game should not play with Land Rovers.
