Default Battery drain

Something has been draining my battery on my 97 disco. I unhooked the negative cable and put one point of my multimeter on the cable and the other point on the negative post. With the doors closed and the key out of the ignition I getting 7.4 miliamps. I pulled ever fuse I could find under the dash and under the hood and checked my meter after pullimg each one. I had 4 fuses that dropped it to about 5. The only one that dropped it to zero was the ignition circuits fuse. Is that normal or have I found my problem?

You would expect some low drain from alarm circuits (armed or not), clock, etc. Just measured mine just now, not cranked for a week, reads 19 milliamps, no appreciable change with hood alarm switch pushed or not.

So did you find something else? A dead cell in a battery can seem to go dead overnight, in that it was charged up and working, but put a load on it without the alternator turning (like turning on head lights and HVAC blower and wipers) and the volts across battery will plummet if there is a weak or dead cell inside.

I haven't found anything else. The battery is only a couple of months old. It is putting out about 12 volts with the vehicle off and it jumps up to 13 after I start it. I'm not sure what to do next.
