brake light comes on occasionally
any idea why the brake light sometimes comes on at odd times when the parking brake lever is down and hasn't been bumped? It comes on and then fades out at odd times.
I'm mostly wondering, what else is it connected to besides the parking brake lever switch? Is there a fluid level switch? That might explain it because the fluid gets sloshed around. I also noticed the light comes on when on steep terrain. But the fluid level is fine when the Rover is level and still.

From RAVE:
So if you unplug the sensor from the brake fluid reserve container, this should go away if it is that sensor. Of course, repair when possible, we don't want you to break something because your brakes are broke, which could make you broke as well.
Brake Warning Light
The brake warning light receives battery voltage with
the Ignition Switch (X134) in position II. It is
grounded by the Brake Fluid Level Switch (X111)
when the brake fluid level is low. It may also be
grounded when the Handbrake Switch (X191) is
closed. The brake warning light is also grounded by

The fluid is above the min line and below the max. Pads and fluid have about 3000 miles on them both. I don't think it's a dodgy switch but maybe just getting knocked and sloshed around. Just another one of those warning signs you learn to ignore on a Land Rover I guess.
