Fuel rail connection to fuel line
I did not release anything when i pulled the fuel rail off my LR2 volvo engine. How does it reconnect to the fuel line. I don't see any clip just the plastic opening for the rail. Thanks

From what I am seeing in the service manual (and I am a bit sceptical of this), once you remove the high pressure line from the fuel rail, the line has to be replaced. It cannot be reinstalled. I suggest you call a dealer or a shop with experience in this car to find out if this is correct.

regardless if that is the case, even with a new line how does it connect to fuel rail. I don't see any clip
You need to search the Volvo Boards.
Land Rover didn't sell that many 3.2's
For reference the 3.2 is called a B6324S
Take a look at this link for an exploded parts view

Don't forget that the 3.2 for Volvo and Land Rover was built in the UK at a FORD plant, same engine line for both.
There are some small difference depending on model year and application but those differences don't matter to what you are asking about.
I own a 2008 LR2 3.2 and a 2010 S80 3.2
And I use the Volvo part or Land Rover part for both (Which ever is cheaper)
Take care
