Like I said IMO they need to either get the truck shipped back and do all parts /labor on them and make this right or pay to ship a new engine to the repair shop , pay the labor, and pay to ship the junk engine back end of story

I will tell you right now I would demand a new engine , there is no telling what other issues you will have down the road related to this issue and I see it turning into a nitemare each time trying to get this guy to honor the warrenty , plus more expense to you and down time with the truck

Otherwise their warrenty is not worth the paper its printed on, 1 k on a new engine is barely broken in

My .02 cause this type b.s. pisses me off

Also if he was so sure that the light was do to the sender he could have offered to do the $10 sensor free after a 12k bill

^ I agree. if it were my company I would have sent a new motor in a crate and asked for the old motor to be shipped back at my cost as well as covering the install costs.

In this age of forums, Yelp, etc. your reputation is all you have. Their reputation has tanked on this one, and its all their fault.

Oh yeah... TAPEGATE!

Land rover community is waaaay to small to be a vendor and screw up and not do everything possible to make it right

I used to be a website administrator on a spcific firearms site the community was small, if a vendor screwed up they would suck it up and do what they had to , to make it right, and if nessisary publicly post what went wrong and how it was addressed, like a ran said your reputation is everything

I'm left shaking my head, too.
At this point your best bet is to get something in writing from Cannibal. Then make friends with a mechanic that will tell Cannibal all the internals need to be replaced. Once your mechanic tears it all apart its the same labor to install the old parts as it is new parts. Might as well soak Cannibal for everything you can.

I am tempted to make this a sticky temporary, just cause I want to know the eventual final outcome

you make it sound like after spend $12k on an engine, you shouldn't have to pay another $2-3k to have it rebuilt after a 1000 miles. Such cynical people.
