car alarm
well spent the day fitting a car alarm to the rover, central locking proved to be a bit of a challenge, ended up with 2 relays to provide a continous circuit and and a earth circuit on demand, this allows for the door to be unlocked normally, or for the alarm to lock and unlock as required, ended up using the headlights as a flasher as it appears the side lights run directly off the headlight switch, yet to fit bonnet/hood switch and a switch interface for the rear door.

Alarm Help
Asking for help with alarm-immobilizer. My Ex-td5 Disco2 2001, actually a D5 - with a OM617 5 liner MB engine - have little dependency on the ECU. I HAVE a problem with the alarm / immo. If anybody could help me REMOVE these items. I could provide 100% proof of ownership for my very old, battered and loved Discovery 2 Ex-TD5. Otherwise, I´ll be blindly removing ALL CPUs and rewiring. (Yeap, its going to be a nutty job).

Thanks for answering. Really I don´t need ecu and or bcu. I don´t mind for alarm for such and old truck. AND nobody is going to steal a Discovery 2001, at least here, where I live (The Dominican Republic). So, theoretically, if I decided and remove cpus and convert all wiring so every window and/or velocimeter/rpms, signalization, lights, dash instruments to non cpu system??
Its not so difficult to do such thing, just lengthy and boresome.
AND as I said, the truck has a 5 cyl Mercedes TurboDiesel with a MB 4 speed auto trans, the original transference box, every mechanical thing in working conditions.
