Default D1 windshield wipers acting up

Driving home the other night in a light to medium rain, my wipers were set on delay and they would stop at the straight up position, then in the park position on the next pulse.
Now when I turn them on low speed, and then off, they stop almost anywhere in the path across the windshield. Acts like the park circuit is not working or something. Any chance this could be a fuse or bad connection?? It is only about 20 degrees outside right now so looking for suggestions..

Frustrating isn't it? It's the gear-motor's rotary contacts which requires removal of the unit to remove the pop-riveted side cover. The issue is pitting of the copper contact rotor. The contacts ride over pits which where once flat, so the loss of contact means no park/stop. Flowed the arc eaten pits with silver solder and it's worked perfectly over 6 years now. Other option in this weather is bone yard or breaker. Nobody does this easy cheap repair by the way. I asked the same thing on another forum I belong to that had more members and all said to buy new or used working cuz it couldn't be fixed. Being creative and not wanting to spend on a not so perfect cheap truck I did it my way.....

I have fixed a number of motors over the years and I was hoping this might be a fuse or something. Maybe it will warm up enough to pull it and dismantle it The heater switch is acting up again too. might be time for some more electrical work I guess.

My 98 did this for a few years. Then one day they just started working perfectly.

Or park it for two years, no worries.

Raining all day yesterday, snow coming down today. It just might be 2 years before I get to it.. no spare vehicles anymore thanks to my son's girlfriend. 3 vehicles destroyed in one year!! guess we know why she can't drive any of my vehicles any more (besides I ran out of them)
