Default wipers acting up

wipers are being goofy,

flip em on and i can hear the little click from the relay but the wiper does not kick on.


ideas?

Welcome to our little forum, the wiper switch acting up in cold weather is a common problem on DII's.
Same thing with the headlight switch.
I do not know why as the DI and DII use the exact same switch.

look at the door harness in the rear, if you use the rear gate door often the wires break. also pull the rear panel and see if the motor has a noahs arc syndrome scott

Front or rear wiper?
Either way, you probably have a motor frozen up.

I can always tell when winter officially arrives here in Texas because my 03 Disco front wipers have a hard time waking up on cooler mornings. I jump in my Disco and start it up and because it is raining or we've had a heavy due I flip on the front wipers and pop it in reverse only to see my rear wiper going nicely but nothing from the front. So I put it in Park and tune in the radio and count to 30 or so. By then the front wipers have started.

I am convinced that it is a British conspiracy to get us Americans to slow down a little.
