Dash lights/rear wiper not working, fuse blowing
You guys gonna get some cooler weather in the next few days? I can't stand twisting myself into a pretzel under the dash, never comfortable. Have you checked behind the passenger kick panel yet for more fluffy stuff?
66 is the high for Friday.
Yep, we're getting cooled off finally too. The window lift ecu is in behind the glove box. The multi-function unit is behind the fuse panel and there's a couple of relays behind the drivers kick panel. I was just wondering if anything chewed over yonder in the passenger side....... another common ground is over there........
I found this video searching "window lift ecu land rover discovery" and it appears the rear window problem might be sort of common. They say the solder points get bad. I've fixed a few ECU's so if that's the issue it won't be a problem to fix. I'm still going to check the passenger side kick panel. If I get the windows working the only thing left is the rear wiper and honestly I can live without it. I'd like to have it but oh well.
You know, I never even thought of it and yes it's widely common. Worth a shot, I reflowed mine and it fixed it. I thought you had already been there, my apologies.......... My rear wiper hasn't worked for several years, I don't use it nor need it but yeah, it's nice to know it works.

Ithankya!
Win!
Don't ya love it when you finally find an issue!

I wonder if it has something to do with that multi-control module/ecu you were talking about? I don't know what really controls it.
