Well, just for the heck of it, I went out and pulled out my Cruise Control module and took the aluminum cover off of it looking for poor solder connections. I didn't see anything that looked questionable til I looked at the pins on the connector.
The number 8 pin (which is the ground pin) was completely covered with corrosion.
I cleaned that pin up as best I could with a screwdriver and sandpaper and then put some vasaline on all of the pins and reinstalled it.
I have cracked vacuum tubing all over so I will get some new tubing and put it on too. I'll have to wait to try it out though until I get my new fuel pump installed.
If it still doesn't work now, I have an AMR5700 on the way, which I was planning on using til I saw my corroded connector.
I used 5/32" vacuum tube. I would guess about 10-12' would be enough.
So that would be 4mm equivalent then? I measured the stuff that I pulled off, it looks to be 5mm inside diameter. Do you think one is any better than the other?
I also measured the "T" at it's narrowest point and it looks to be 6mm.
