Well, I had to wait until this weekend to work on the truck, so I should (hopefully) have some good news to report later this weekend...meanwhile, here's a photo of the 'patient'...

We put it up high, so I can get under it (not having any indoor spaces or concrete on which to work...a true "shade tree mechanic", I am...); the house next door is vacant, so the flow of four-letter words that will sure to be issuing from under the Rover, will go unheeded...

Mine has developed a leak too. Hoping it's the inspection plate or crush washer on the plug

Tom...my case is super-filthy, so I'm not sure if photos will be all that helpful.

FINALLY! After much griping, cursing and wrestling, I got the old one out...

And here's what the inside looked like:

Size: 145.3 KB

And the "goodies" that were stuck to the bottom of the plate:

Size: 175.6 KB

I would hazard a guess that this TC is officially toast.

Thanks, Tom. I guess those are bearing cage...I'm not real sure. I'll get you a pic or two of the front tomorrow.

Here's a pic of the inside of the replacement TC:

Looks mucho better.

I haven't forgot about those pics, Tom...it's been raining to beat the band down here for the last few days, and I can't get outside. :P

UPDATE: Just thought I'd fill you guys in on the Disco....I had a nice, clear weekend, so I broke out the tools, rolled up my sleeves, and dove right in....I'm proud to say she's fixed, and runs like a scamp! Here's a couple of videos, by my wife as videographer....

I want to thanks all you guys who helped me in this endeavor, as I couldn't have done it without you...the help is much appreciated, and my son is super-stoked.

This forum rocks!
