5w anything is too damn thin for these especially with higher milage and higher temps.

15w40 20w50 or straight 40 weight would be a much better choice.

Rotella is fine but you need rotella 15w40 or Castrol GTX 20w50. So drain that 5w and put in onme of the above before you screw that motor up.
A 5/40 and a 15/40 act the same when the engine is hot and will not cause that problem, they are both 40 weight oils when hot.
If it were mine, I would do an oil pressure test, cold at idle and at 2000 RPM's and again when hot at idle and at 2000 RPM's. Get back to use with the 4 sets of numbers.
Either your pump is cracked, you have a bad temp sensor or you have some serious crank bearing issues.
