Mine is bolted

Iirc the all aluminum ones are welded upside down so need mode to use unless they fixed the design

I went with this one. It was about $100 more than the one you linked, but I got free shipping via Amazon Prime and will have it tomorrow, instead of next week sometime, so that was worth it to me.

I'll do a review of course.

That's the same one, you just payed a lot more, they are all made same place

I buy most things with prime, they do not always show in 2days, that's only if amazon is filling the order and sometimes not even then

Yeah, about $120 more, but tomorrow instead of May 3 was worth it to me to get the truck up and running this weekend.

And this one leaks the same way. Somewhere on the radiator, less than 1/8 cup (mostly a few drips), drips come off of front left side frame rail in front of the motor and under the radiator.

If that doesn't work use a right angle pick to work between the hose and port
I agree...
Good tip on the hair dryer too! Never tried that.

I used a crowbar. Get the flat part between the hose and the radiator and twist. I also put some antiseize on it when replaced so hopefully it will come off easier next time.

I have a tool that is actually supposed to be a cotter pin remover, , it is kind of a twisted hook on a screwdriver-type handle. . Personally, it doesn't work well for cotter pins, ,but is great for radiator hoses, , because of the hook shape you can slide it in between the hose and the nipple, work it around the hose to break the hose free, ,and pull it off. . ..works pretty well. I never heard of they hair dryer trick,, ,have to try that one out. .

Like a lot of things on older Land Rovers, things were often the result of compromises between what they 'had' in their parts bin, and what they could 'afford' to design new. That whole lower radiator hose assembly is a great example of a Land Rover compromise. Just think how many engines would have had longer lives if they'd have done a standard hose w/o the T in it?

I have the same tool Moosejr uses (Cotter pin tool) and its great for removing radiator hoses. There is also this tool which is good (and cheap enough) to keep in the tool bin:

I don't use mine as much as the cotter pin tool, but sometimes it's the best tool for the job.
