Default Front seats need to come out

95 D1. Manual not power seats. For those that recall I'm dealing with some serious rust. Need to replace the front floor pans. The bolts holding the seats in are rounded off from corrosion. I think they should be 10mm, but we can't get a socket around on any off them. I can cut the first three off from below if needed, but the 4th bolt for each (rear closest to the middle is a problem. Can't be cut. I would cut around the whole seat, but as you all know the brake lines are an issue. Has anyone dealt with this and found a solution to get the seat out? I found a solution to the trunk. Involved a lot of rust killer, bondo and new steel plate. I'll post pics after I get these floor pans replaced. Thx.

Is there a nut on the bolt you can cut? If so can you get a nut breaker in there? I haven't messed with the seat mounts on a Disco so not sure what you are dealing with. Also have you tried a gator grip socket? They have pulled through for me many times on a rounded bolt head or nut. Worst case scenario maybe you can find someone with a cutting torch? Especially since you are already doing major repairs to the floor pans (I remember those horrible looking things you posted up not long ago).

Thanks. There is a nut, and it's the least corroded. I just can't see how it could be cut. The D1 has a raised section just behind the seat that makes the angle really tough, if not impossible, and you just can't get at it from below at all. I think I'll cut the front two, raise it up a few inches, slide the sheet metal under and re bolt. Any other suggestions welcome. thx.
