After reading only 1 page. I saw that glowshift was selling this back in july and waited until someone did this. I BEING a idiot bought the oil psi one with filter sandwich adapter. Well its off by 20 psi compared to a regualr manual guage and glowshift said tough. DON'T BUY THERE CRAPPY PRODUCT.

And in the blister pack aisle of the parts stores you can find adapters that are heater hose b-a-r-b on one end, threaded pipe on other. Add a T and you are done.

Sounds like you were waiting for another idiot to take the plunge first on the water temp gauge. I guess that would be me. If I recall correctly, I followed your lead on this company. At least we're in the same boat....hope it doesn't sink completely. If I did smiley faces I might insert one here.

Don't worry though, I wrote a letter to the company on "our" behalf. Let's see what they say.

Forget the installation guys, I'm just going to glue the needle in the optimum spot, light it up and tell all the girls that it works great.

This won't be the first supplier that I've been burned by following chatter on these boards.

And I almost ordered that sandwich plate adapter for the oil filter to add an oil pressure guage.

So did you like my idea on splicing it into the heater hose or are you going to forget the added water temp guage?

I am going with the Ultra Scan, Maybe Santa will bring me one!

sounds like a questionable sender...
but at least you get the sandwhich plate, in which you can install a nice VDO sender, and replace the gauge with a VDO piece youre done.

Danny....I'm not a trailblazer. I follow the pros. I'm not drilling, cutting or doing anything to the automotive systems on my guagua (truck). Aesthetic or rust proofing, and other non-critical system mods are another story.

I wrote my nasty letter, will probably replace original temp sensor and eventually buy the Ultra myself so I can compare and have another supplier to say FU to. And of course determine if all the hack/ad hoc work I've done to my truck is working or not.

Like I said, it looks great and is an amazing chick magnet....or at least that's my going rationalization.

I completely agree with you. I still have a whole bunch of them stopping and tuning their heads at times. I was pleasantly surprised recently when I parked in front of a Starbucks and this table with four hot babes all smiled from ear to ear as I pulled up in front of them.

I just smiled back and modded as I walked by them. Had to avoid any further temptation..................
