Default New Glowshift oil pressure gauge arrived!

10 color Glowshift kit with alarms, etc.

The sending unit on this kit is quite small and I guess it is the best version. It says that the threads are 1/8 NPT. Will that fit into my oil pressure sending port that is originally on there?

Suggestions...?

By the way I had considered the sandwich adapter plate for the oil filter, but wasn't sure if it would fit the LR application...so I figured I would just replace the orig "idiot" light sending unit with the new one.

I have the glow shift oil pressure gauge on both my Disco's. I didn't want to eliminate the factory light so I tapped onto the port just below and to the left of the factory switch. You will need a 20mm to 1/8npt adapter to make this work. You can find these at various places the web.

I'm not sure that there is a port available, as I believe the oil cooler lines are there?!

When you are referring to the 20mm to 1/8 adapter, is that for the way you set that up or are you meaning the original sender port?

I thought many Glow Shift users got the base unit that goes on bottom of oil filter, does not move the oil PSI warning switch....

It is for the way I have it set up which I believe is the same way it is set up in the How To Section for oil gauge installation on this forum.

You can pull the plug above the oil pressure switch and tap a hole in it. That's what I would do.
See image attached. This is the cover from an '03.

Cheers!
