I know discoverys are slow but........
Today I attempted to switch my transfer case from H to N then to L then back to H. Well I was sitting in the rover with the engine running, transmission in N and foot on break with hand break pulled up. I can get the **** to move around but it will not go forward. It is in H right now. I figured I don't want to force something. I think spike555 told one person once that If you have someone wiggle it while you use penetrating oil from under you can slowly start to wiggle it free with time. I will go that route rather than break something off. I haven't examined my E break yet. I was wondering exactly how I would know if it was stuck on or not anyway? Thoughts? I also put new gear oil in the transfer case in August.
Try to move it into L while slowly rolling forward. Sometimes that will help.
As far as the problem with it slowing down, jack up the wheels and try to turn them by hand. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't have at least one caliper sticking.
