And you think that just because you did it and got away with it that makes it the best way to do it?

yes.....this stuff is meant to be used as a gasket material between two flat surfaces, and something you would want you use or can use instead of gasket between intake manifold and intake manifold "lid" or between intake manifold and plenum chamber.

Also used for oil pan on the cars that use a silicon gasket.....can be used instead any thin flat gasket or on both sides of a used thick gasket (since when you reuse gasket the deformation that ocured from first use will not identically line up)
